Recommended route to Pilton Hill Camping. Traffic around Pilton can be busy, so the best route to the campsite is from the A39 Glastonbury-Wells road. Turn towards North Wootton on the A39 at Brownes Garden Centre and follow for 3 miles. After passing the village church turn left at the T junctiion, follow the lane for 200 yards and you will see the Crossways on your right. (Do not follow stewards directing you right to Festival after 50 yards). Go past the Crossways and immediately right; campsite entrance is 3rd on the left after 100 metres. We will meet you in the field and direct you to your tent or pitch.

Routes to the Festival. Our campers bus, cycle, taxi and walk. Distance to Gate A is just 1.6 miles. Gate A gives good access to the Pyramid Stage, John Peel tent and Silver Hayes (Dance Village). You can also easily access Gate D for the Park.

There is a courtesy bus running for restricted hours during the day to take you in to the Festival on a first come first served basis. Courtesy bus runs on Wednesday and Thursday from 4pm to 7pm, and on Friday to Sunday from 11am to 3pm.

Festival bus service is from the Crossways to Gate A and runs on Friday to Sunday every two hours, leaving for the Festival at 0945,1145,1345,1545, 1745,1945. Return buses leave from Gate A at 0920,1120,etc. with late return buses 2320 and 0030. Capacity is 70 seats and cost is £4 per person.

Local taxis cost £9-15 in 2023 for a daytime pick-up to the Festival. Return is best using the 24 hour Festival taxi rank at Bronze Gate.

Walk or cycle to Festival. Travel to the Festival is along a level quiet lane for less than 1 mile. Opposite Tanyard Lane go through the double field gates and cross the Pink car parks. Head in direction of pylons to pedestrian crossing to Bronze gate and then on to Gate A. For 2024 there is a secure compound for bikes at Bronze Gate.
